Hi, my name is Benjamin, and I am the founder of Avalea Soundworks. I am a sound engineer, guitarist and bassist, and I bring a musician’s ear to the work I do.
I’ve been playing for over a decade and have performed at more than a hundred shows with various bands, including overseas gigs in Qatar, Philippines and Vietnam. Those years on stage continue to shape how I listen, collaborate and support other musicians.

Playing guitar and bass has given me an understanding of what it feels like on the other side of the soundcheck: listening for your place in the mix, finding your confidence and connecting with the people in front of you.
My decade-long experience has brought together guitar, songwriting, music production, recording and mixing into an synergistic skillset. That connection between making music and shaping sound remains at the heart of Avalea.

On a live show, I want musicians to feel comfortable and hear what they need, while the audience hears a balanced, engaging performance. That means paying attention to the room, the stage and the people in both.
In the studio, I work across recording, production, mixing and mastering. The aim is to bring the music into focus while keeping the authenticity, and the character that makes it yours.

I teach guitar and bass, and share practical live-sound skills with prospective freelance crew. Sessions are shaped around your experience, your questions and the next thing you want to be able to do.
